There’s a rich history behind what is now Fork & Anchor™, a general store since the 1890’s, which has made it a landmark in the small town of East Marion, New York and a neighborhood place with a mission to serve the community. The love of real food and people is at the heart of the operation. Fork & Anchor’s aim is to be the one stop shop for all your daily provisions: local farm eggs, homemade chili, tobacco, sundries, beer, locally roasted coffee, prepared salads, and killer breakfast sandwiches.
Drawn to the abundant agriculture and the maritime roots of the North Fork, the duo behind Fork & Anchor, Lucy Muellner and Erin Johnson, took over Angel’s Country Store in 2011. They’ve since gradually transformed the food and retail offerings to feature an inspired menu using all natural meats and cheeses, local farm fresh produce when available from Sep’s, Latham’s, Deep Roots, and KK’s The Farm, L.I. Coffee Roasters coffee, Greenport Brewery growlers, and more locally sourced products on the shelves. Convenience never tasted so good!
